Baby Doll

All my life I've tried to make it good
What have you done for me
Now I've found the answer it's understood
In the end it came easily
It's a small consolation
That you get higher on your own

Now what you gonna do, baby doll
When you fall what'll you do

Time is running out but don't you cry
I'll be there in the end
But if the end comes too soon, I don't know why
I might just be someplace else
It's a small consolation
That I would be there if I could

One day I'll be laughing
You'll be on your own
It won't make me happy
But I admit the thought turns me on

Marijn Ophorst: vocals, acoustic guitar

One of a new batch of songs, this is a very lousy demo recorded in early 2005 with just Marijn, an acoustic guitar and a memocorder - one take only, so don't mind the mistakes. The other songs recorded in the same session are Traffic, Nicotine, Vampire, Don't Sing Your Song In Spite and I'll Let You Know.

Traffic and Vampire are being considered for single release this spring.
